Biopics can be a tricky endeavor in mainstream cinema, but the creators of "Tiger Nageswara Rao" have defied expectations by crafting a film around the infamous dacoit, Tiger Nageswara Rao. The dedication to meticulous research and attention to historical detail are evident throughout this period action drama. The film delves into the enigmatic life of Tiger Nageswara Rao, shedding light on what drove him to a life of crime and how he managed to execute his criminal endeavors with such finesse, ultimately becoming a thorn in the side of the entire police department.

Ravi Teja, a consistently outstanding actor, once again rises to the occasion and delivers a stunning performance. Portraying a morally ambiguous character is no small feat, but the Mass Maharaja approaches this role with unwavering conviction, pouring heart and soul into his character.

Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, and Nassar also deliver commendable performances, while Renu Desai shines in her limited role. Nupur Sanon and Gayatri Bharadwaj fulfill their roles effectively, adding depth to the narrative. The first half of the film is engaging, brimming with intriguing moments that effectively depict the rivalry between Ravi Teja, Jisshu Sengupta, and Harish Peradi.

However, the film's second half, despite having its share of strong moments, is marred by its extended runtime. Prior to its release, concerns were raised about this issue, and regrettably, the lengthy duration hampers the overall impact. Although there are emotionally charged segments, they often get overshadowed by drawn-out and exaggerated action sequences. The excessive violence may not sit well with some segments of the audience, and it would have been wise for the filmmakers to tone down the brutality.

The narrative's inconsistency in the second hour is evident. While the first hour offers an insight into Nageswara Rao's criminal activities, the latter part delves into his journey towards redemption. The film also touches upon how Stuartpuram earned its reputation as a perilous place, with its residents denied opportunities for personal growth. This thematic element had tremendous potential, but, as previously mentioned, it gets somewhat overshadowed by the excessively long action sequences.

The authenticity of biopics often remains a point of contention, and as such, it might be advisable to avoid certain unnecessary elements. Addressing sensitive topics can stir controversy, as demonstrated when Tiger Nageswara Rao's involvement in robbing the Prime Minister's residence and receiving support from the Prime Minister himself was portrayed in a somewhat exaggerated manner. The film takes numerous cinematic liberties that may not resonate with all viewers and could have been handled more delicately.
