Let me say at the beginning, I did not use the main poster of the movie because I like Nagarjuna in this movie. He is one of my favorite actors. So I used a poster made with him.
🔹Bollywood has a lot of hopes for this movie with a budget of 400 crores. There is no doubt that Bollywood will try to assert its position in the market with this film in the midst of South's triumph.
But does the movie deserve 400 crores? The simple answer is no.
Here, of course, the great game of VFX is shown. Which is a first in Bollywood. But if you are a regular Hollywood movie watcher they will seem normal to you. But talking about Bollywood, there is no doubt that good work has been done.
▫️This movie was promoted by highlighting the VFX only. So how was the story?
In short, a very simple and twistless story. Along with Ranveer-Alia's love story.
In the beginning, you will be bored watching their makho makho love.
At one place, I saw Alia dancing to the song "Chikni-Chamili" and said that she is dancing to her son-in-law X's song.😂
This is how the first half of the movie goes.
It was good only when Nagarjuna, Shahrukh were coming on camera. Though they were very less in front of camera.
The second half is going well. You can predict what will happen next. Before introducing Ranveer's parents, you will understand who they are. A little twist could have been put here. But yes, the faces of his parents were not shown.
And at the end of the movie, so much VFX was being shown, I wanted to take off my headphones.
‼️Talking about acting, Karan Johar has always wanted to meet Bollywood stars.
Ranveer's performance was better than the last few movies. But it would have been better if his supernatural powers were stronger. And throughout the movie, you can see him moaning in his sleep in several places. It would have been better if it was shown a little less.
Alia's performance was also excellent. You will understand that Alia is the most talented star kid ever after watching this movie.
‼️Shahrukh Khan and Nagarjuna would have been better kept for a while longer. You won't find proper Hindi in Nagarjuna's dialogues. But their performances were not the best.
I have seen many movies of Nagarjuna. So I can say this is not his best. Although it is because of less screen time.
Amitabh Bachchan's character is the weakest character in this movie. I didn't like his performance. He is a fool.
Same look. Since Shahrukh and Nagarjuna were given less time, it would have been better to give him some time towards the end.
🔺If I am told which character is the best in this movie, I will say Mouni Roy who played the character of the villain. As long as she was just lighting the fire. In the movie, he has set himself ablaze with his performance. He looks like a villain. Make up was perfect.
◽If this movie won you over with the VFX (unless you are a regular Hollywood watcher) the story won't. A very simple story. Many places you will skip without realizing it.
