Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. 

When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.

Scott Derrickson's forthcoming thriller "The Black Phone" got another Finnish banner that appears to have taken a page from one of the chief's past movies. 

Where the film's other banner summons those 1970s and 1980s flows that are altogether the fury nowadays, the Finnish banner rather gets back to Sinister for motivation, complete with squalid dark dividers with dark streaks, and the nominal dark telephone hanging tight for Mason Thames' personality to get it. 

It harkens back to the famous banner for Derrickson's past work which saw Ashley Oswalt (Clare Foley) drawing on the divider and uncovering the evil (joke expected) face of Bughuul.

Where this banner breaks with the Sinister plan is with the consideration of the telephone encompassed by foreboding shadows of individuals. These are the previous casualties of Ethan Hawke's The Grabber, who are resolved to assisting Finney Shaw with getting away from the executioner's grip through the dark telephone. 

The Grabber is prominently missing from this promotion. Regularly, we'd see him robbing for the camera in his alarming veil, however, this banner picks to keep him in the shadows, rather zeroing in on Finney as he's going to go over and snatch the telephone after he awakens in the shabby room where The Grabber keeps his casualties. On the whole, a creepy banner sets up for Derrickson's stupendous get to ghastliness by going once again to his foundations.

The Black Phone is a Blumhouse Production following Finney, a 13-year-old kid who experiences the notorious kid executioner The Grabber.
