IMDb Rating: 8.4/10
An excellent series of recessions. Nothing more to say. The way Anirban Bhattacharya has created his content based on Shakespeare's classics is admirable. Actor Bhattacharya has already won the hearts of everyone. Eventually, the producer got the full mark. 'Mandar' is at the forefront of everything from cinematography, acting, and background scores to creating characters and myths. Yes, there are plenty of sex scenes out there. Such culture may not be accepted in our country. However, such is the case in the Indian industry. But in 'recession' everything is fine.
The characters of the recession are portrayed absolutely brilliantly. The way Anirban Bhattacharya has twisted the characters from the original material is excellent in a word. These characters will make you feel complicated, flawed, and very disliked!
Mandar, Lily, Dablu Bhai, and all the other characters are great which will surprise you and make you think. A special adaptation of the famous 'Three Witch's. Here they are mother, son, and pet cat. Their presence is creepy, uncomfortable. They have been counting the time of Gailpur all the time. Their vision is revolving everywhere.
In 'Mandar', Soumik Haldar has good background music with a great camera. There was constant tension, which was very necessary to maintain the idea of what is happening. Each frame has been made with utmost care. There are various symbols used. Various symbols like cat or fish have been shown around. Mandar has been wearing red sunglasses to signify the red color of power.
Debashish Mandal is great in this series. The series is clearly based on him and he is devastated. You can't take your eyes off him. He brought Mandar to life only through the expression of his eyes.
Sohini Sarkar with him is just amazing. There is really no alternative to such a character. The government showed the whole series in a great performance. The character of Anirban in the film is also unique. He is the epitome of terror in the whole of Gailpur.
Attracted from the beginning to the end of the 'depression' will give you full satisfaction. Take a look ...
After watching the series, I will talk more about two people: -
1) Anirban Bhattacharya.
In this work, director Anirban has impressed actor Arniban. So a great screenplay, every scene, camera movement is perfect in one word. He arranged the whole thing in such a way that it was bound to catch the eye of the audience.
2) Sahini government.
Sahini, who is accustomed to seeing us as simple normal characters, has twisted that stereotype. Boldley has presented himself in a way that is unthinkable.
The main character of Mandar is Debashish Mandal. I haven't seen her perform before though. But after watching it, I became a fan. He has portrayed a character so dark that it seems to me that if he had given it to someone else in his place, the character would not have appeared so much.
Each of the "Mandar" character dialogues is so great that once you start watching, you won't want to end the whole series. I've already seen it twice. The best is the cinematography of this series.
And the acting of those who have played the character of Buri and her son is great.
The ending is great.
I like some of the dialogues of Mandar: -
* Forehead in the lap of tomorrow
Some are kings, some are fathers of kings
* Hunger hunger is all the fault of that hunger
Hungry people are monsters ...
Although adapted from Shakespeare's "Macbeth", the rest of the directors will have to get up to speed to make sure that the scars left by "Mandar" in Bengali cinema under Arniban's direction...
