Movie: A Quiet Place Part II (2021)

IMDB: 7.8

Personal: 9.5

Genre: Sci-Fi, Horror, Thriller, Drama

Finally, yesterday I saw my most popular movie of the year, A Quiet Place: Part 2. The first installment of this movie is the most interesting and creative sci-fi horror movie I have seen so I have been waiting for the second installment for so long. However, there was a fear in my mind that if the first movie is excellent, the second one will never be good or in many cases, it will be disappointing. But A Quiet Place Part II has retained its predecessor value. At least it seemed to me that this movie is a worthy sequel that is as full of tension as the previous movie.

In A Quiet Place Part II, we find answers to many questions that remained unknown in the previous installment. But much is still unknown to viewers after this movie. Maybe director John Krasinski has future plans for them. However, the unknown parts do not prevent you from enjoying the story or the movie. John Krasinski's writing and directing make it clear that he is passionate about this type of movie. The way the story is arranged as well as the amount of importance presented in each plot makes it difficult to find admirable and plot holes.

The movie begins with a scene from the day the Death Angels first attack, as shown in the trailer. However, this scene is very short and has been kept to show a glimpse back story. Even though it is a small scene, it has created a sense of connection and emotion with the audience as well as helped build up a tense atmosphere. He also introduced her to Emmett, a family friend of the Abbott family. However, the main story of the movie begins in the very scene where the first movie was cut to black. And then began again that familiar Silent and thrilling Survival Story.

The thing that seems most different to me in the movie A Quiet Place is that the movie is a sci-fi horror but the main focus characters of the story. Death Angels are only in the movie as a threat and they never take the limelight from the characters. This issue has also been maintained in this movie. Although this time two different journeys are shown at the same time, you can easily feel a family sense. Putting two different scenes together creates the same level of tension in such a way that it never seemed random. Another thing that is especially noteworthy is the sound effects of this movie.

Seriously so many awesome sound tricks have been used that make a scene more exciting. Moreover, like in the previous movie, the sound has been completely turned off in some scenes to explain the life of the Def Girl, which is again very nice. The sound and story of this movie are so impactful that in most of the scenes I was discovering myself to keep my mouth shut. However, in a few scenes, I could not contain myself and shouted loudly. Very very nerve-racking the whole movie. Like the previous movie, this time the movie has ended by using cut to black which may not be good for many or it may feel a little incomplete. But I think Krasinski made this decision on purpose because this movie is not the last chapter.

There is nothing different to say about acting. Every cast member is perfect. Emily Blunt didn't get as much screen time as she did in the previous movie. I don't like this one thing. I like him very much and his performance in this character is A-plus so it would be nice to show some more scenes with him. Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe in the roles of his two children are remarkable as young actors. Millicent in particular is the signing star of this movie. That's why we get the most beautiful scenes in this movie. They were joined by Cillian Murphy as Emmett. His screen time is much longer and he has acted as perfect as ever. I like Millicent's chemistry with him very much.

All in all, there was a recommendation to watch this movie with the whole family. I really like the movie and live up to my expectations. The movie has used the plus points or uniqueness of the previous movie again but in a way that it never seems repetitive, on the contrary, the second movie has made it more qualitative. Those who enjoyed the first movie will not miss this movie. I hope you like it. If you want, you can easily watch the two parts together.
