The port city of Chittagong can be reached from the capital in just 55 minutes. Although very unbelievable, Bangladesh Railway is moving forward with a plan in that direction. According to the survey, 228 km flyover will be constructed from Dhaka to Chittagong. There will be 6 state-of-the-art railway stations. The entire route will be equipped with an active signaling system. The speed of the train will be 300 kilometers per hour. The probable cost of this project is estimated at Rs 1 lakh crore.

The railways were looking for a source of this huge amount of money. Two companies, China Railway Construction Corporation, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation have extended their support for the construction and funding. Who will jointly establish a company and take responsibility for the provision and construction of necessary loans? The railways will repay the loan later.

The company will operate the railway for 5 years and hand it over to Bangladesh. The money earned at this time will be deposited in the railway treasury. Bangladesh will have 20 years to repay the loan. The proposal will be sent to the government's economic relations department for comment, said project director Kamrul Ahsan, adding that the railway ministry wants to start working with China this year. If all goes well, the final work on the high-speed railway will begin next year. He said there would be two Chinese companies and railway cooperation. They will manage the debt.

A target has been set to transport 50,000 passengers on this route every day. Later this railway line will be extended from Chittagong to Cox's Bazar.
