The Platform is Spanish science fiction, thriller movie with a prison-like self-management platform that takes food from top to bottom and has enough food for everyone. There are different types of people out there, any criminal can choose it instead of prison. Some people come here voluntarily in the hope of a diploma certificate or something else.
They cook the most perfect for everyone there and make good quality food. Everyone's favorite dishes are cooked by the best chefs to select. If each person ate only enough of these foods, then everyone could eat up to the last level.
The main character of the movie Goreng is an honest and ideal man. But as the level went up and down, he lost his morale because of the situation. Greed forces people to think only of themselves and they forget that they too were lacking before.
This movie has conveyed a great message to society. Take what you need, don't be greedy, don't take more than you need. We have a limited diet. If you accept too much then someone has to be hungry which is a great reflection of our society. There are some people in our society who have the ability to buy food for 100 years and there are some people who just can't earn enough food for today. We have more than enough to live a "normal" life, but when we are greedy and take too much, it creates chaos in the whole system.
At the end of the movie, we see a baby girl going upstairs to the dining table, which is a message to the system that there are still some good people. But change is not possible if we all do not fulfill our responsibilities. Goreng also tried to change the movie by changing the rules of the system but it didn't work out and Goreng deserves his work, which makes it clear that we don't need to change any rules but we need to change our attitude.
