Their job was to destroy Dhaka's gas pipelines, especially Hotel Intercontinental, to disrupt the gas supply to Hotel Purbani. The main goal of this was to make the foreigners staying in those hotels understand that there is a war going on in the country. In this battle, he injured his left ear. Section Commander Azam Khan entered Dhaka with his comrades in mid-December 1971. Earlier, he won the organized battle with the Pakis at Trimohoni towards Mothertech.
