After writing the script of Drishyam 2, I first informed a senior forensic officer in Kerala. He gave his observations in two or three places. I fix them. Then I ask him - if a man plans like this for 7 years, can he fool everyone? Is it possible? The forensic officer said - the way you wrote, it is possible.

I realized then that I had written a good script. If the senior forensic officer can’t figure out the mistake, then understand that I didn’t cheat on my job.

Then I let my three daughters read the script. Let all three read at the same time, not at different times. I hand over the script to everyone and ask them to react after reading it. At first, all three of them were a little angry with me and they said- Dad! What is the need for a remake of this movie? Please do not waste the first application. No need to remake.

After reading the script, my three daughters told me- Dad! What a wonderful script!

You will notice that in one scene of the movie, Mohanlal means George Kutty - there is no CCTV camera in this forensic department, right? I have chosen this dialogue because many government forensic departments in Kerala do not really have CCTV cameras. Not only that, a doorman of the government forensic office had set up a liquor store here at night several months ago, it also came in the news. From there I took the character inspiration of the movie drunk doorman.

For 5 years I just thought of the movie script and arranged it in my head. Didn't write a single letter. I am very lazy when it comes to writing. When I finally put the whole movie script in my head, I sat down to write it. I wrote the whole thing in the middle of the corona, I finished writing for 25 days in a row in lockdown.

I didn't make Scene 2 for the box office collection. If I did that, I could have made three or four scenes long ago. I created Scenario 2 for my creative satisfaction. Maybe that's why viewers like it more. I never think the audience is stupid, I think I am smarter than myself. So I try my best to figure out how to logically fool such a clever viewer.

Only I wrote the climax of Drishyam 3. I told that to Mohanlal. He agreed to make a movie in one sentence only after hearing the climax. My three daughters heard the climax and said- Dad, there is no better climax than this! But how do you do that? How do arrange the rest of the story?

I do not know the answer to the girls' question. But I will try. If the attempt is successful, I will appear with Drishyam 3! "
