Chaminda Vaas has been appointed as Sri Lanka's quick bowling trainer for their impending visit through West Indies, Sri Lanka Cricket reported on Friday (February 19). The arrangement comes following David Saker's renunciation from the post, who ventured down because of individual reasons in the wake of having taken up the situation in 2019.
Vaas, who was filling in as a quick bowling trainer at Sri Lanka's High-Performance Center, working with Emerging and National Team Players, was roped in to supplant him. During his renowned worldwide profession, Vaas got 355 Test wickets in 111 matches and furthermore 400 ODI wickets in 322 games.
Sri Lanka's multi-design visit, containing three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests, will start on March 3, with all the games planned to be played in Antigua away from public scrutiny.
